Raunheim, Germany, June 24, 2016 – BOPP film manufacturer Treofan has been successfully certified in line with the newly revised DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard in Germany. The audit in June spanned the whole value chain, from development and production to sales. This early adoption makes Treofan a pioneer: only an estimated ten percent of industrial companies worldwide have so far been certified in line with the updated standard.
Published in September 2015, ISO 9001:2015 places significantly higher requirements on companies than the previous version of the standard. When assessing risks, companies have to pay greater consideration to the external perspective of customers and other stakeholders. The auditors from the SGS-TÜV Saar certification body found no deviations from the standard at Treofan. They emphasized positive findings such as the high level of investment and the interactive knowledge management platform.
"Our passing of the audit with flying colors proves that we don't just talk about quality, we live by it every day," says CEO Dr. Walter Bickel. "The decision to certify Treofan very soon after the introduction of the new standard once again underlines our positioning as an innovative premium supplier."
